No wonder fans are always star-struck when they see their favorite stars. They are perfect, aren’t they? Most of these celebrities have assumed role model statuses. Their fans believe them to be perfect both in character and in appearance with no suspicion of a possible plastic surgery whatsoever.
Sometimes the pressure to maintain this high level of expectation drives them to try to enhance their physical appearances. This could be by undergoing nose surgery or other facial adjustments. Some celebs do these facial changes to boost their low self-esteem and confidence.
These are usually caused by trolling or body shaming – two issues that can result in a high level of insecurities. This is especially considering that they are public figures. The cost of plastic surgery is usually not a challenge for these celebs. They have the cash rolling in, don’t they?
Nose reduction/trimming is one of the most common types of plastic surgeries among celebrities. The nose is a prominent facial feature. In fact, there are a few who believe that what determines whether you’re good looking or not is your nose.
How true this is, I can’t say, but we’re all entitled to our own opinion, aren’t we? Anyway, there are stars that have made adjustments to their nose through surgery. 1. Jennifer Aniston
Jennifer is a screen goddess who has starred in so many Hollywood movies. The alluring actress had to undergo nose surgery several years back. This was due to a broken nose she suffered back in her high school days. The surgery was strictly to correct the problem.
2. Rebecca Adlington
Rebecca, an Olympic gold medallist had a nose job at the age of 27. It was a nose reduction kind of surgery. The procedure also removed a bump on her nose.
The GB swimmer had to go under the knife because of the constant torture she suffered about her looks – her nose in particular. She won gold in the 400m and 800m freestyle event at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
3. Mickey Rourke
Mickey was the Oscar-nominated star of the wrestler in 2008. He recently had a nose job which he revealed was prompted by a couple of broken noses he suffered in the past. The former boxer explained that the plastic surgery entailed taking cartilage from his ear to rebuild his nose.
“Most of it was to mend the mess of my face because of the boxing” he stated. Rourke seems to be happy as he feels he is “pretty again.” Well, you can understand his excitement, especially considering that the plastic surgery procedure could have gone wrong. Congrats Mickey on your new face!
4. Ashley Tisdale
You’ll most likely remember her from the famous movie, High School Musical. She admitted to going through a surgery for a deviated septum in 2007. “Growing up; I always knew I had a deviated septum on the right side of my nose which caused trouble breathing” she revealed. According to her, the problem got worse as she got older.
This prompted her to see a doctor who recommended surgery. Ashley revealed that she didn’t want her fans thinking she was doing it for cosmetic reasons. “I did it to help my health,” she explained.
